I had been wanting to try out whiskey stones for some time when I came across Gentlemans Beard Balm on Etsy, I felt that I had the perfect opportunity. They looked appealing and did not seem too pricey at $13.00.
Sadly, they disappointed me. I had put them in the freezer for a few weeks before I used them. They are supposed to give the effects of ice without making the drink watered down by melting. I put the stones into my Jameson and nothing happened temperature wise. My Jameson was still warm and the stones lost their chill.
I personally do not drink my whiskey cold. I prefer it room temperature. But if you are someone who like their drinks chilled, save your money on these stones and just use ice.
