Smallfoot began in the village of the Yeti as we learned that they were much like us and created a society and civilization away from the rest of the world above the clouds on a mountain top. The village Stonekeeper enforced the laws of "The stones" that were made as a needed precaution to help protect the community. Everyone Yeti was happy and felt a sense of purpose thanks to the Stones.
That is until one day when Migo, a real up and comer in the village, saw a Smallfoot (human) after a plane crash outside of the village's main wall. After he was treated like a crazy Yeti by the Stonekeeper as Migo tried to spread word that he had seen the mythical Smallfoot, he was banished from the village. The myth of the Smallfoot was as much of a folk tail for them as the legend of Bigfoot is to us.
Things end up changing for the Yeti after Migo finds his way down the mountain and discovers that the world of the Smallfoot is not only very real but the Smallfoot inhabit most of the world. Look, I bet you can probably tell that I do not want to give much of this movie away. I have not at this point at all.
Smallfoot is a great film to take your child to because it is a lot of fun and my daughter absolutely loved it. Between the music and the story, it is actually a fun movie no matter the age. I found myself really enjoying the movie just as much as my daughter did.
I give Smallfoot a score of 4.5 out of 5 stars. The movie was well written. The actors were well selected to voice their roles and the entire experience was fun from start to finish.
